An investigation conducted by the Marion County Sheriff’s Department, the Arkansas State Police, and the National Park Service resulted in the arrest of three subjects in Marion County and the seizure of approximately 348 marijuana plants in southern Marion County. Investigators discovered the patch on July 22 and executed a search warrant. 30-year-old Tommy Lane of Harrison was discovered hiding in the marijuana patch. At the time of Lane’s arrest he had already harvested numerous plants and had marijuana in his possession. Other subjects arrested that had already left the area are 48-year-old Dennis and 40-year-old Deanne Rochester both of Bellefonte, Arkansas. Tommy Lane was charged with Possession of Marijuana, a class C felony, and Manufacturing of Marijuana, a class C felony. Lane’s bond was set at $25,000, which as of report time, hadn’t been posted. The Rochester’s were both charged with Manufacturing of Marijuana, a Class C Felony, in which they posted $25,000 bond.
